We’re excited to kick off a search for new members to join our team at BoxGroup.  We are looking for exceptional, independent, and thoughtful candidates who can join us and quickly become an integral part of our core investment team.

BoxGroup is an early stage venture capital firm based in New York City and San Francisco. We are generalist investors and deeply believe technology is a horizontal trend that will impact every industry. We hope technology can be a catalyst for positive change and progress. We invest at the earliest stage of a company, and our goal is to be the first conversation with exceptional founders.

We are 15 years old as a fund and investing out of our sixth early-stage fund. Our portfolio includes over 400 investments and we’re lucky to have invested at the earliest stages in companies like Airtable, Amplitude, Clay, Cursor, Flatiron Health, Hex, ID.me, Maven, Plaid, Ramp, Ro, Scopely, Solugen, Warp, Zipline, and others.

BoxGroup Investor Role 

We view venture capital as a mentorship-driven business and work together as a collaborative team. In this role, investors will build experience and a deep network in venture, with exposure to a broad set of startups at all stages. New investors on our team will actively participate in all stages of identifying and evaluating investment opportunities while supporting existing portfolio companies.

‍You should have a deep passion for technology, an ability to understand the mechanics of how businesses work, and an innate product sense. We are hoping for a diverse set of applicants—you might be technical, you might have previously founded a startup, you might have a consulting or finance background, or you might have a completely different background but a passion for technology. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.
